Call of Duty: Black Ops Creators Speak with NewsWatch about the 3D Technology of the Game through a Satellite Media Tour

Call of Duty: Black Ops, one of the hottest video games to come out on the market this year, is going to be featured with full 3D technology. One of the creators of the game, Mark Lamia, spoke with NewsWatch through a Satellite Media Tour about the technology that went into the video game and what gamers can expect when it is released.

In what is being heralded as one of the best video games of 2010, Call of Duty: Black Ops is set to hit stores November 9th and it looks to be nothing short of spectacular. NewsWatch recently spoke with Mark Lamia, one of the Creators of the game, through a Satellite Media Tour about the 3D Technology that went into the game. From hearing about the new technology and the amazing gameplay, this game seems like a must have for video game enthusiasts.

For years Call of Duty has been one of the most popular game franchises in history, and now the new edition, Call of Duty: Black Ops promises to take game-playing to a new level. In what might become the greatest 3D game yet on the market, Call of Duty: Black Ops will also be playable in stereoscopic 3D. “With Stereoscopic 3D, it really allows a player to really get immersed in our world.” Studio Head Mark Lamia explains. “We’re already making a 3D game, so unlike a movie that is filmed in 2D and then made 3D, our game is developed in 3D, so it already has all the elements you need.”

Activision, the publishing company of this new game, has also revealed that “Call of Duty: Black Ops” will be compatible with 3D HDTV’s and 3D PC’s. The user will be able to use the new active shutter 3D glasses to get a full three-dimensional immersion into the video game. Mark Lamia details “When you are in stereoscopic 3D, everything we have is enhanced.” But for video game enthusiasts out there that don’t yet have a 3D television, there is no need to worry. Call of Duty will still be fully compatible on a normal HD or non-HD television and will become available for Xbox360, Playstation 3, and PC on November 9th.

“One of the reasons why gaming is such a great application for Stereoscopic 3D is because our games our created in 3D. We expect the players to move through our world in 3D” Explains studio head Mark Lamia. “Particularly with Call of Duty, it’s a first person game. That means everything is from the perspective of you.” Call of Duty is Rated M for Mature for Blood, Drug Reference, Intense Violence and Language.

NewsWatch spoke with Mark Lamia through a Satellite Media Tour. NewsWatch has been on the air for over 20 years and speaks with top celebrities on a common basis.
